At Oologah UMC, we believe kids learn and grow best by doing. That’s why our whole approach is hands-on and interactive for children!
We have a wide variety of worship and learning opportunities for children at our church and are blessed to have Calley Gray on staff as Director of Children’s Ministries to guide us as we strive to make church a place that is fun and yet spiritually significant for the children God entrusts us with.
We offer an inspirational and educational Sunday School Program at 9:40 a.m. each Sunday. This is a time for learning about our faith and growing in God’s grace for ages Pre-K thru 5th grade.
We also offer a Sunday morning Kids Worship experience during the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service for PreK – 5th grade. The children leave the service following the Children’s Conversation.
Wednesday evenings, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, KidZone classes for PK-2nd grade and 3rd-5th grade are invited to our exciting “Hands On Bible” curriculum. Just as Jesus used everyday objects to teach eternal truths, Hands On Bible Curriculum uses fun gizmos that help leaders teach so kids understand God’s Word, love it and remember it for a lifetime. Kids will enjoy games, crafts and lessons in a very relaxed, casual atmosphere.
Throughout the year, our Children’s Ministries Department offers seasonal and special activities such as Vacation Bible School, swimming parties, field trips, and so much more! It also offers opportunities for the children to participate in service and mission projects. Many families are drawn to our church through the activities of this department. We are not sure who enjoys it more–the kids….or the parents!
